Netflix, the world's leading Internet TV network, has acquired worldwide rights to the brazen documentary Hot Girls Wanted, which premiered in the US Documentary Competition at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. Directed by Jill Bauer and Ronna Gradus and produced by Rashida Jones, Bauer, Gradus and Brittany Huckabee (also writer/editor), Hot Girls Wanted explores the world of professional "amateur" porn -- and the steady stream of 18+ young girls who cycle through it -- with unflinching honesty. The film will premiere exclusively in all territories where Netflix is available in 2015.
"I am so proud of this movie. Hot Girls Wanted manages to tell a very intimate story within the ubiquitous, multibillion dollar and thriving porn industry, a story that will resonate with audiences across the country. Netflix is the ideal partner for us; not only do they understand this film but they're the perfect platform to reach the many people who need to see it," said producer Rashida Jones. "Jill and Ronna have exposed a shocking world of hope and heartbreak," said Erik Barmack, Netflix VP of Global Independent Content. "The filmmakers gained unprecedented access into a world never documented until now, and we are proud to bring their unflinching work to a global audience." "Netflix shares our passion for uncovering a story that no one wants to talk about but that needs to be discussed. We can't imagine a more dynamic partner than Netflix," said directors Jill Bauer and Ronna Gradus.Netflix is the world's leading Internet television network with over 57 million members in nearly 50 countries enjoying more than two billion hours of TV shows and movies per month, including original series, documentaries and feature films.
