NJTV to Broadcast Senator Lautenberg Special Tonight

New Jersey's public television network, will broadcast NJTV Special Report: Remembering Senator Lautenberg, a half-hour news special about U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg this evening at 7pm both on-air and online.

The special program will feature career highlights, key legislation and interviews by Lautenberg, who passed away early this morning. He served five terms as U.S Senator, casting 9000 votes during his tenure. Mike Schneider, managing editor of NJTV's weeknight news program, NJ Today with Mike Schneider, will host tonight's special.

Schneider last interviewed Lautenberg in-studio last October. Tonight's special will be available online at njtvonline.org/njtoday. Additionally, Remembering Senator Lautenberg will be repeated on-air at 11:30pm tonight.

Tomorrow, the NJ Today news team will focus on statewide Primary coverage during live broadcasts at 6pm and 11pm. Mike Schneider will anchor NJTV's coverage from NJ Today's studio in Montclair while correspondents report on New Jersey's key races. Live result updates will air at 8:56pm and 9:56pm.

Coverage will also be livestreamed online, with additional results posted at njtvonline.org/njtoday throughout the night.

The 11pm newscast will be encored on Wednesday at 6am.
