NBC's HEARTBEAT Grows vs Prior Telecast Despite Last Week's Preemption

NBC's "Heartbeat" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET): Is currently up +14% or 0.1 of a point versus its prior telecast in 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.7 on April 6) and +4% in total viewers (4.042 million vs. 3.902 million), despite last week's preemption (pending updates). Maintains its full rating from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.8). Will grow with time-shifted viewing and VOD - the prior "Heartbeat" telecast increased by +27% in 18-49 (0.66 to 0.84) and 810,000 viewers overall (3.9 million to 4.7 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

Upscale: "Heartbeat" has delivered a solidly upscale audience, indexing at a 109 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current," including L+3).

An encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET): Grows half-hour to half-hour in most key measures, including gains of +8% in total viewers (3.6 million to 3.9 million) and +20% in adults 25-54 (1.0 to 1.2). Is currently matching its 18-49 average for rebroadcasts during the month of April 2015 (0.8 vs. 0.8, pending updates), when it did not face competition from "Empire."

A rebroadcast "Chicago P.D." (0.8/3 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET): Is currently tied for #2 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and adults 25-54 versus original ABC and CBS drama competition, pending updates. Ranks #2 outright among those nets in total viewers and all key adult-male demos. Equals its average for April 2015 encores in 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.8).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.1/5 with an encore telecast; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.6/4.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.0/4 in metered-market households with an encore) tied CBS's first-run "Late Late Show" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore) tied "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
