NBC Sports Presents Live Coverage of 2017 AMGEN TOUR OF CALIFORNIA

NBC Sports Group will present daily live coverage of the 2017 Amgen Tour of California, beginning this Sunday, May 14, at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN and culminating with the final stage on Saturday, May 20 at 3 p.m. ET on NBC. In addition, daily live coverage of the race will be streamed with NBC Sports Gold's "Cycling Pass," as well as on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

Top contenders in the race include 2015 Amgen Tour of California winner Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe) of Slovakia, 2016 team time trial world champion Marcel Kittel (Quick-Step Floors) of Germany, as well as Americans Brent Bookwalter (BMC Racing Team) and Andrew Talansky (Cannondale Pro Cycling). Also competing are 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Alexander Kristoff (Katusha-Alpecin) of Norway, and 2012 Amgen Tour of California winner Robert Gesink (LottoNL-Jumbo) of the Netherlands.

NBC Sports Group will air highlights of the women's race throughout its coverage of the 2017 Amgen Tour of California, and will present a comprehensive recap show of the women's race on Friday, May 26, at 1 a.m. ET on NBCSN.

Highlighting the women's field are a pair of Americans, 2016 Amgen Tour of California winner and reigning national champion Megan Guarnier (Boels-Dolmans), and 2016 Olympic silver medalist and junior world champion Chloe Dygert (Sho-Air Twenty20), as well as 2016 Olympic gold medalist Anna van der Breggen (Boels-Dolmans) of the Netherlands.

The Amgen Tour of California covers 575 miles of California's scenic terrain, with this year's course beginning in Sacramento, and weaving through Modesto, San Jose, Pismo Beach, Morro Bay, Santa Barbara, Santa Clarita, Ontario, Mt. Baldy, and Mountain High before concluding in Pasadena.

Phil Liggett calls the action joined by analysts Paul Sherwen and 2012 USA Pro Cycling Challenge winner Christian Vande Velde, analyst and reporter Jens Voigt, who has three top-10 Amgen Tour of California finishes, and reporter Steve Schlanger. 'Inside-the-Race' correspondent Steve Porino will report from aboard a motorcycle on the course, and offer updates on race situations.
