NBC Sports Group's coverage of the 2016-17 Premier League season kicks off five days from today, on Saturday, August 13. The opening weekend of the season is headlined by a clash of perennial powers, as Liverpool travel to the Emirates for a showdown with Arsenal this Sunday, August 14, at 11 a.m. ET on NBCSN.
Liverpool enter their first full season under manager Jurgen Klopp, who took charge in October 2015 and led the Reds to a Europa League Final appearance last season. Arsenal are looking to build on last year's second-place finish, their first in the top-two since 2004-05. Manager Arsene Wenger, the longest-tenured manager in the league, leads the Gunners for a 21st straight season. This weekend's coverage begins at 6:30 a.m. ET Saturday with PREMIER LEAGUE LIVE on CNBC. Immediately following, defending champions Leicester City and their leading scorer last season, Jamie Vardy (24 goals), kick off the season at newly promoted Hull City at 7:30 a.m. ET on CNBC and NBC UNIVERSO. Coverage continues Saturday at 10 a.m. ET on CNBC with Everton v. Tottenham.
