NBC has renewed "Last Call with Carson Daly" (Monday-Friday, 1:35 a.m.-2:05 a.m. ET) for a 10th season and also has named Emmy Award nominee Alex Coletti (MTV's "Unplugged") as the new executive producer of the network's annual "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" (10-11 p.m. ET, and continuing at 11:30 p.m. ET.) The announcements were made today by NBC's Rick Ludwin, Executive Vice President, Late Night & Primetime Series, and Nick Bernstein, Vice President, Late Night & Primetime Series.

"I really feel that 'Last Call' has hit its stride. It took 10 years -- but it feels brand new and great," said Daly. "I am glad Stewart is coming back because he is incredibly smart and he owes me 35 dollars."

"Likewise, Alex is great, he produced MTV's 'Unplugged.' He assures me we will have electricity for the New Years Eve show. I'm glad he's on board."

"'Last Call' has been a trend-setter in late night since it began but particularly in its most recent two seasons. Carson and executive producer Stewart Bailey continue to give viewers a series that's distinctive, cool and entertaining," said Ludwin. "Also, Alex Coletti's impressive experience in event television will extend the success of Carson's New Year's Eve special."

Coletti is an acclaimed producer-director whose work includes MTV's "Unplugged" series and the halftime shows for Super Bowls xxVIII and xxV. Coletti's Production Company, Alex Coletti Productions, produced the "Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular" for NBC. He is currently the executive producer of the critically acclaimed "Spectacle: Elvis Costello Meets...". In 2010, he volunteered to produce the New York portion of the multi-network "Hope for Haiti Now" telethon. He also will again produce the Lighting of the National Christmas Tree in Washington, D.C., which he did for PBS in 2009. As a director, Coletti has shot TV specials, concerts and DVDs for "Celtic Woman," Jay Z, Beastie Boys, Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, Mary J Blige, R.E.M. and others. In 2010, Coletti directed "The Real Housewives of New York" and "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion shows. He has been nominated for three Emmys for his work with "Unplugged."

"Last Call" will continue with the mantra -- "no desk, no ties, no rules" -- and will shoot at various locations around Los Angeles and other cities, which allows the audience to experience each guest in a unique and intimate setting. Always a progressive in introducing new music, Daly will continue the tradition of giving music artists a platform for their music to be heard nationwide. This is Bailey's second year as executive producer.

"Last Call with Carson Daly" is produced by Universal Media Studios and is taped on location. Stewart Bailey and Guy Oseary are executive producers.

"NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" is executive-produced by Daly ("Last Call with Carson Daly") and Alex Coletti through Universal Media Studios. Guy Oseary ("Last Call with Carson Daly") is co-executive producer.
