According to Digitalspy.com, the NBC network has put in an order for 13 episodes of the Bryan Fuller thriller series HANNIBAL, which will feature characters from the best-selling novel by Thomas Harris, 'Red Dragon'. The series will follow FBI agent Will Graham and his mentor, Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Sir Anthony Hopkins had portrayed the legendary figure in the films 'The Silence of the Lambs', 'Hannibal' and 'Red Dragon'.

Fuller, who will write and executive produce the series, is best known for his previous TV show 'Pushing Daisies'. He is currently behind the upcoming NBC reboot of the classic TV sitcom 'The Munsters', to be called '1313 Mockingbird Lane'. The show is reported to be a "potential summer or event series".

In addition, the network has reportedly given the greenlight to the pilot series 'Notorious', which is described as "a soap about a female detective who returns to the home of her childhood to investigate the murder of her childhood friend, the daughter of the wealthy family that her mother served as a maid."
