NBC NIGHTLY NEWS Ranked No. 1 in Key Demos for Week of October 17th

NBC NIGHTLY NEWS WITH LESTER HOLT ranked #1 in the demo for the week of October 17, averaging 2 million A25-54 viewers, leading "ABC World News Tonight" by +271,000 (16%) and "CBS Evening News" by 535,000 (+37%). Nightly News was the only broadcast to see a year-over-year gain in A25-54 (+8,000). The NBC News broadcast increased its demo advantage over ABC from the prior week (+6%) and from the same week last season (+19%).
Among A18-49, Nightly News averaged 1.5 million viewers for the week, topping ABC by +225,000 (+18%) and CBS by + 431,000 (+42%). The NBC News broadcast has ranked #1 in A25-54 and A18-49 for 64 of the last 65 weeks. Nightly News added +50,000 A18-49 viewers compared to the same week last season. Nightly News averaged 8 million total viewers for the week, leading CBS EVENING NEWS by + 1.5 million (+24%). Due to NFL Thursday Night Football, "CBS Evening News" is based on a four-day average.Videos
