According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has given its first series order for the 2012 -13 season to Scott Silveri's comedy pilot GO ON. The series will star 'Friends' alum Matthew Perry as a sportscaster. Todd Holland will executive produce and direct the pilot.

GO ON will center on Perry's character, described as an "irreverent yet charming sportscaster who tries to move on from loss and finds solace from the members of his mandatory group therapy sessions." Julie White (Transformers) will play Anne, a woman stuck in the anger stage of grief. Suzy Nakamura will also co-star.

Perry portrayed Chandler Bing on NBC's long-running series Friends. He also starred in last year's  Mr. Sunshine on ABC which was canceled after one season. The actor recently appeared in a multiepisode run on CBS' The Good Wife.

Current pilots on NBC include the comedy 'Downwardly Mobile, starring Roseanne Barr and John Goodman and the drama Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde.
