Model and Soap Opera Star Corey Sligh Hit with Car, Beaten on Thanksgiving

According to CBS, Corey Sligh, model and actor who has appeared on the soap opera THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, was bringing a Thanksgiving meal to a friend on November 27 when he was hit by a car and beaten by the motorist after he asked the driver to slow down.

Sligh and his girlfriend Alisa Berhost were headed to a Rite-Aid in Los Angeles when the incident occurred.

"The whole imagery of everything that happened last night is still very fresh and scary," Berhorst said. "I'm thankful he's okay. I'm thankful that we didn't get killed."

Berhorst told reporters that two men were in a car speeding around the parking lot and doing donuts. When Sligh asked them to "please slow down or we're gonna call the cops," they drove their car into him and beat him up.

Sligh suffered a broken arm, which required surgery, along with several other injuries. The actor was treated at Cedars-Sinai.

Police have arrested the two men who who allegedly beat Sligh. Following the incident, the suspects fled the scene but crashed their vehicle nearby and were found by the LAPD with help from a witness who followed them.
