Miles Teller Will Be Honored with First Annual Stonestreet Granite Award

John Cameron Mitchell & Stonestreet's Founders will present Miles Teller (Bleed for This, Whiplash, War Dogs) with the First Annual Stonestreet Granite Award for Exceptional Work in the Motion Picture Arts at Stonestreet Studios' 25th Anniversary Event, taking place at TAJ - 48 West 21st Street, New York, NY on Monday, November 14th.

Stonestreet Studios, founded in 1991 in New York City by director/producer/creators Alyssa Rallo Bennett and Gary O. Bennett, is a unique combination independent film & television studio and screen acting & production conservatory, creating the perfect transition to that of a real film set, working on a wide range of genres from comedy and drama to sci-fi and thrillers. The Bennetts laud a very special kind of mentor/director that understands and models a nurturing yet challenging and constructive professional environment. The conservatory is the exclusive screen acting and production partner of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts Drama program.

Stonestreet has become known for creating quality content that is now finding distribution internationally with and for a millennial audience. Stonestreet has trained over 5,000 young actors and hyphenates, including Teller (Bleed for This, Whiplash), Idina Menzel (Rent, Frozen), Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Who), Renee Felice Smith (NCIS: Los Angeles), Selma Blair (People vs. O.J. Simpson, Legally Blonde), Michaela Conlin (Bones), Ashley Skidmore (Younger), and Gil Zabarsky (Teacher of the Year, Tenured) who also stars with Sean Young (Blade Runner) in the new Stonestreet pilot Videola, which recently won a best pilot award at the Hoboken International Film Festival.

The Bennetts, award winning director/writer/producer team Alyssa and Gary, are the founders of Stonestreet Studios and creators of work ranging from socially speculative feature films like "Rain Without Thunder" (Jeff Daniels, Linda Hunt, Steve Zahn) to socially conscious films such as "The Pack" (Luci Arnaz, Elizabeth Moss), both theatrically released and have garnered critical acclaim and awards in over a dozen international and domestic festivals. The Bennetts are currently finishing a millennial feature at Stonestreet, "ReRUN" a modern day twist on "It's a Wonderful Life".
