TVGuide.com reports that LauraLee Bell and Michael Damian are set to reprise their roles as Cricket and Danny on the long runnning CBS soap opera THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. The twosome was considered a 'supercouple' in the 80's and 90's. While both have returned to the show on seperate occasions, this will mark the first time in almost eight years that they will appear together.

A representative from the show confirmed that Bell and Damian will be involved in a "major story development" beginning this May. According to the report, the story may bring back a case from the 1990's in which the character of Phyllis (Michelle Starfford) attempted to do away with Cricket in an intentional hit and run. Bell will make her return debut to the soap on May 17th with Damian will appear the following day.

Damian's Broadway credits include a starring role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He also appeared in the production's National Tour. The actor's musical career includes such albums as Time of the Season, Love Is A Mystery, and The Christmas Album. His singles include a remake of David Essex's 'Rock On'.
