As BWW reported earlier today, a body that was found dead in a wooded Seattle suburb on Thursday, October 16th has been confirmed to be that of "August: Osage County" actress Misty Upham. The news was confirmed by filmmaker and family spokesperson Tracy Rector. A cause of death has not been revealed. Upham was 32 years old.

A statement appearing on the Auburn Police DepartmentFacebook page said the search for Upham took five hours along with a 10-person team. "The Auburn Police Department states that there is no initial EVIDENCE or information to indicate foul play; however the Medical Examiner will make the final determination."

Upham had moved to the area to help take care of her father, who is recovering from a stroke. She had last been seen leaving her sister's apartment in Muckleshoot on October 5th.

Oscar winning actress Meryl Streep , who appeared with Misty in 2013's August: Osage County, shared her reaction to the tragic news of her co-star's passing. "So so sad to hear this news - all our thoughts are with her family and with her beautiful spirit," the actress told The Hollywood Reporter.

Melissa Leo, who starred alongside Upham in 2008's Frozen River, shared her condolences with THR. "Such a loss... so sad, so so sad," she commented.

Misty Upham played housekeeper 'Johnna Monevata' in last year's film adaptation of Tracy Letts' Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-winning play AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY. Among the actress' other film credits are FROZEN RIVER,DJANGO UNCHAINED and JIMMY P. She most recently appeared in "Cake" starring Jennifer Aniston. The film premiered at this year's Toronto International Film Festival.
