The Huffington Post reports that actress Megan Mullally has confirmed that she will be reprising her role as 'Lydia' in an upcoming full length feature film adaptation of the Starz comedy series PARTY DOWN. John  Enblom, who wrote the script for the TV series, is currently in the process of penning the upcoming film project.

PARTY DOWN aired for two seasons in 2009 and 2010 on the Starz network. The cult hit comedy series starred Adam Scott as 'Pollard', an out of work actor who takes a job with a down-and-out catering service called 'Party Down'. Lizzy Caplan, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen and Ken Marino also starred as Scott's co-workers. Mullally joined the cast in the show's second season, replacing 'Glee' actress Jane Lynch.

In commenting about the film's storyline, Mullally explained,  "I think we're going to see Lydia's ex-husband, Ed I think is his name, who was really racist and a misogynist."

Rumors of the feature film have been circulating since last April, when Lizzy Caplan told The Huffington Post that , "It's something that we all really want to do. People are busy with their television shows and whatnot, but it's definitely something that we all want to do, so I think we'll do everything we can to make it happen."

In an interview given this past November, Adam Scott revealed that the TV series cast would remain intact for the upcoming film. "I don't know if Jane [Lynch] will do it, we'll certainly invite her, but I'm not sure," Scott commented. "But definitely the Season 2 cast, which is all of us and Megan Mullally."

Megan Mullally made her television debut alongside Elaine Stritch and Ellen Burstyn on "The Ellen Burstyn Show" in 1986. She appeared opposite Stanley Tucci as Walter Winchell's wife in Paul Mazursky's award-winning HBO bio-pic Winchell and opposite Juliet Stevenson in Lifetime's "The Pact." She is best known for her two-time Emmy and four-time SAG Award-winning role as Karen Walker on the hit NBC Series "Will & Grace.

She has received an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination for her performance as Rosemary in the Broadway revival of How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying opposite Matthew Broderick and starred in the hit Broadway musical, Young Frankenstein. Her other Los Angeles theater credits include The Berlin Circle at The Evidence Room Theater, for which she won the 2000 BackStage West Garland Award for Best Lead Actress in a Play and the L.A. Weekly Award for Best Leading Female Performance. She also appeared in Mayhem at The Evidence Room, as well as a variety of plays and musicals in both Chicago and Los Angeles.
