Matt Lieberman to Pen THE JETSONS Animated Movie

Deadline writes that Warner Bros has nabbed Matt Lieberman to pen the script for a feature-length, animated JETSONS movie.

Hanna-Barbera's THE JETSONS cartoon series launched in 1962 and can still be seen in reruns on Boomerang.

The space-age sitcom is set in the year 2062 and features futuristic robots, flying machines, quirky inventions, holograms, and of course, aliens. The series was originally Hanna-Barbera's sci-fi response to THE FLINTSTONES.

Lieberman's other writing credits include Warner Bros' SCOOBY-DOO movie, the upcoming film SHORT CIRCUIT and more.
