THE CIRCLE CLOSES acclaimed director Mark Rappaport ("From the Journal of Jean Seberg")'s fascinating short film about classic Hollywood films, will debut Friday, January 29, 2016 on Fandor.

The short film will join Rappaport's extraordinary collection of films, all available on Fandor. Fandor's extensive collection of Rappaport's films include such acclaimed films as "Rock Hudson's Home Movies," "The Vanity Tables of Douglas Sirk," and "John Garfield." Fandor has 20 of Mark Rappaport's ingeniously original films about Hollywood available exclusively on Fandor's site.

Filmmaker, photo-montagist, scriptwriter and film essayist, Mark Rappaport is one of the most essential American artists of the past forty years. ROCK HUDSON'S HOME MOVIES was given a Special Citation by the National Society of Film Critics for "adroitly combining fictional narrative with essay to deconstruct Rock Hudson's screen image." It was followed by FROM THE JOURNALS OF JEAN SEBERG, which garnered the best reviews of his career. SEBERG won the Independent/Experimental film and Video Award from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.

THE CIRCLE CLOSES, debuting on Fandor on January 29, is an elegant meditation on the non-human objects at the center of four classic films.
