Malin Akerman in Talks to Star in ABC Comedy TROPHY WIFE

Deadline reports that Malin Akerman is currently in talks to star in a comedy pilot for the ABC network titled TROPHY WIFE. The single-camera project is written and executive produced by Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins and executive produced by Lee Eisenberg & Gene Stupnitsky. The project received a "cast-contingent" pilot order last Friday.
According to the report, TROPHY WIFE would follow a "reformed party girl Kate (Akerman), who finds herself with an insta-family when she falls in love with a man with three manipulative kids and two judgmental ex-wives."
Akerman's feature films credits include The Heartbreak Kid, 27 Dresses, Watchmen, The Proposal and Couples Retreat. In 2010, she joined the cast of the comedy series Childrens Hospital. She recently appeared in 2012's musical film Rock of Ages. Her upcoming films include CBGB and Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story, in which she has the title role.
