MSNBC.com Debuts New Series 30 IN 30 Highlighting 30 Dynamic Female Candidates

Today msnbc.com debuts "30 in 30," a new series spotlighting 30 of the most dynamic female candidates seeking national office in 2014. Once a day over the next 30 days, these 30 notable women will discuss their lives, running for office in a male-dominated field, and pivotal issues that matter to all women, including equal pay, health, and campus sexual assault.

There are currently more women serving in Congress than at any other point in U.S. history, and with the November midterms only a few months away that number could continue to surge. It's down to the wire for many candidates trying to bring a female perspective to the table, and "30 in 30" will give contenders from both sides of the aisle the opportunity to explain how they plan to make their marks. The series kicks off with Alison Lundergan Grimes (D, KY Senate race), Wendy Davis (D, TX Gov. race), Monica Wehby (R, OR Senate race), and Shelley Moore Capito (R, W. Va. Senate race) with many more to come throughout the month.

In addition to a Q&A, each candidate will have a personalized "trading card" illustrating basic campaign information and a quote, and in some cases, a "TBT" photo for those who want to share great "throwback" pictures.
