MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD (MTP) kicked off the 2017-2018 season as the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the key demo this past Sunday, Oct. 1, according to Nielsen Media Research data. Sunday's broadcast featured an interview with Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, as well as exclusive interviews with Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) and Ta-Nehisi Coates, author of "We Were Eight Years in Power."

MTP, which won the 2016-2017 season as the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board, continued its reign in the demo most valued news advertisers and won its eleventh straight broadcast among A25-54 viewers. 976,000 demo viewers tuned into Sunday's program: +22 percent (+178,000) more than ABC's "This Week" and +12 percent more than CBS' "Face the Nation" (+105,000). MTP grew its demo advantage over ABC by +50 percent (+59,000) week over week.

3.381 million viewers tuned into MTP, +17 percent (+501,000) more than ABC. This was MTP's biggest total viewer win over ABC since May 14 of this year.

MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, outperforming its competition across the board and winning every Sunday in total viewers since March 2015.

An additional 1.396 million total viewers and 285,000 A25-54 viewers tuned into MTP this past Sunday through rebroadcasts on MSNBC.
