Liza Minnelli's Ex-Husband David Gest Found Dead in London Hotel Room

TMZ reports that music producer David Gest, perhaps best known as the ex-husband of theater legend Liza Minnell, was found dead today, April 12th in his hotel room at London's Four Seasons Hotel at the Canary Wharf.

London authorities report that "Police were called at 10:17 on Tuesday to the Four Seasons Hotel, to reports of an unexplained death of a man in his 60s. London ambulance service were called to the scene."

It currently remains uncertain what caused his death, however the site reports that it appears to be "non suspicious." An AUTOPSY has been scheduled.

Gest and Minnelli were married from 2002 to 2007. The couple frequently made headlines during their very public divorce in which Gest accused his wife of physcial abuse during their relationship.

Gest produced the highest-rated musical television special in history, Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration: The Solo Years in 2001, which was the last reunion of Michael Jackson and the Jacksons in 17 years, and Jackson's last solo concerts. He appeared on the 2006 British reality television show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!. He was also the first American to have three prime-time series in the UK. He recently appeared in Celebrity Big Brother in the UK but due to illness had to leave after 13 days.
