Lidia Vitale's BETWEEN BROTHERS Makes LA Debut at La Femme International Festival

Lidia Vitale is best known for her many roles in front of the camera, but her most recent work of art is a very personally inspired story called Between Brothers (Tra Fratelli) that she wrote, produced and directed. This short film that revolves around the intrigues of a family in contemporary Italy, will resonate with many people young and old. It speaks volumes to the many more stories Miss Vitale can share as her career as a filmmaker progresses. She resembles a younger Charlotte Rampling with that same wild, intense, earthy energy that informs most of her work and this film is no exception. Moreover, the film stars Miss Vitale's daughter, Blu Yoshimi.

Based on a true story that happened to Miss Vitale in the 1980's, Between Brothers deals with a triangle of betrayals in the suburbs of Rome. It's a minimalistic vision of relationships concentrated on the intimacy of the characters. The drama develops around the theme with a light touch. The film has been making the rounds of many International Film festivals and has created buzz. Among Miss Vitale's foremost goals is to support and increase the presence of women in the Italian film industry with quality projects. This is her second short, after Musica per i miei occh (Music For my Eyes) starring her daughter Blu.Together, mother and daughter are the protagonist of Soubrette - another short by Marco Mingolla, selected at the ROME Independent Film Festival.

Tra Fratelli was selected for the Kin International Women's Film festival 2018. Most recently Between Brothers was selected for the ROME Independent Film Festival (RIFF https://www.riff.it/en) and will be premiering in Los Angeles at the 14th Annual La Femme International Festival on October 11th at 12PM.
