According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Leah Remini has joined the cast of the upcoming ABC comedy pilot WHITE VAN MAN from ABC Studios. Michael Fresco will direct.

The project is based on the British sitcom 'Van' and centers on "a man (Kyle Bornheimer) who is forced to put his dreams on hold in order to take over the family handyman business from his father Tony (J.K. Simmons)."

The actress will portray Terry, the sister of Tony, who is described as "a Patricia Clarkson-type in a bohemian shirt and head scarf. While Tony still wants to run the business despite his bad ticker, Terry is charged with keeping him in line when he tries to sneak out to go to work again."

The project will be penned by 'Raising Hopes' Bobby Bowman, who will also executive produce the pilot along with Mark Gordon, Andrea Shay and Paul Buccieri.

Remini was recently seen as one of the hosts of the CBS morning talk show, 'The Talk'. She is best known for her starring role on the long-running ABC comedy series 'King of Queens'
