The Hollywood Reporter reports exclusively that GOOD MORNING AMERICA's Lara Spencer has inked a deal to remain on the popular morning show.

In a statement to THR, Spencer commented, "You know you're in the right job when getting up at 4 a.m. is a joy. This was a simple decision; I love what I do, and I adore the people I work with. I am thrilled to be on this team and look forward to many more years."

Added senior vp Jeffrey Schneider, "We couldn't be happier. Lara is a uniquely gifted anchor at the top of her game. She brings so much energy, fun and smarts to every single broadcast. She is beloved by our viewers with good reason."

The news follows a similar agreement signed by GMA anchor Robin Roberts, as ABC executives work to keep the rest of the No. 1 morning show's on-air team united. Recently long-time GMA weatherman Sam Champion jumped ship to join The Weather Channel. Negotiations are currently underway with Josh Elliott, who is considering an offer from NBC Sports with less than a month left on his ABC contract.
