LIFE OF PI Opens Strong at Thanksgiving Day Box Office

While Americans appeared to have taken a break from the movies this Thanksgiving Day, studios are hopeful that 'Black Friday' will prove to be a record-breaking day at the box office. According to Deadline.com, one studio executive predicts, "Friday grosses will be huge and the best grossing day of the weekend," while another promised, "This weekend has a chance to break the record."
Twentieth Century Fox's 3D Life Of Pi was one of the few films to show an increase in earnings between Wednesday and Friday. An executive from the studio told Deadline, "Everyone had an extra helping of Pi because we are up more today than any other top film in the marketplace!"Below are the Top 10 films based on Thursday estimates according to Deadline: 1.
