E! Network Releases Statement on Kim Kardashian Divorce

Only two weeks after their lavish wedding was aired on E! network, reality star Kim Kardashian and her husband of 72 days, Kris Humphries will be divorcing according to E! News.

The couple was married on August 20th after only dating for 6 months.  The 400 member wedding guest list included such stars as Lindsay Lohan, Eva Longoria, Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough, Kathy Lee Gifford, Mel B, George Lopez and Serena Williams. Among the performers at the affair were Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind and Fire. E! Entertainment aired a two part special on the ceremony in early October.

People magazine purchased photos from the event for a reported $1.5 million.  Similarlly, OK! magazine reportedly paid $100,000 for the exclusive photos of the bridal shower. The magazine also paid for the exclusive rights to photos of the couple's Honeymoon. Along with the huge price tags on photos, discounts were given to Kardashian for everything from her wedding ring to her invitations.

The reality star, worth an estimated $35 million, had signed a pre-nuptual agreement with her groom prior to the marriage.

Kardashian is currently working on the upcoming Tyler Perry film 'The Marriage Counselor'.

E! Network has released the following statement regarding the divorce:
