Kelly Rowland Replacing Britney Spears on Next Season of X FACTOR?
The Huffington Post reports that Kelly Rowland is now a leading candidate to take Britney Spears' place at the judge's table when FOX's American Idol returns for its third season.
The former Destiny Child's singer appeared on the UK edition of the singing competition in 2011 along with Gary Barlow, Tulisa and Louis Walsh but left the show after the first season. At the time of her departure, the singer commented, "I love the UK and being part of the show last year. Mentoring the girls was such an incredible experience I will never forget. I would like to thank Simon for the great opportunity and asking me to be a judge last season."
An inside source revealed to The Mail Online, "Kelly knows the X Factor, she's aware of what it takes to be a judge and she's also outspoken. Simon has always remained a fan of Kelly's and she's most definitely in the mix to join the judging panel on X Factor USA."
FOX is expected to announce its new judging line-up sometime this May.
