In an all-new interview featured in the upcoming issue of Allure Magazine, Katie Holmes spoke about her hopes and plans for the future, which may include an exit from the entertainment industry.

The actress, who made her Broadway debut in 2009's 'All My Sons', recently made a short-lived return to the Great White Way in the play 'Dead Accounts' opposite Norbert Leo Butz. Commenting on the experience she shared, "I was open to - well, to whoever wanted me. But it was always my goal to make it back to the stage."

Holmes comes from a family of attorneys and recent rumors have suggested that the actress is considering making a radical career move which could include giving up any future acting plans. "Well, my brother and father are attorneys, and, we'll see [what comes next]," she shared. "I like the practical thinking of attorneys."

The recently divorced single mom also spoke about the idea of expanding her family. "I don't know. I'm open to it," she said.

Citing the devastating events of the past several months such as Hurricane Sandy and the Newtown Elementary school shootings, Holmes' biggest wish is that 2013 is "a good year for everyone."

The issue of "Allure" magazine, featuring the interview with Katie Holmes goes on sale March 26.
