TVLine reports that Jon Glaser has joined the cast of the NBC comedy PARKS AND RECREATION. The comedian will appear in the third episode of the show's upcoming fifth season, portraying a town councilman.
Mike Schur, showrunner for the comedy, describes Glaser's character as a local orthodontist who, “basically becomes Leslie’s nemesis. He doesn’t find her interesting or charming at all, and doesn’t care about her bright-eyed, bushy-tailed attitude toward making the town better… He just doesn’t like her.”
Glaser is is best known for his work as a writer and sketch performer for many years on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, as well as for creating and starring in the Adult Swim series 'Delocated.'
Parks and Recreation returns to the NBC line-up on Thursday, September 20th at 9:30/8:30c.
