John Cusack to Appear in His Upcoming CBS Drama Pilot

Deadline reports that John Cusack will now appear in the upcoming pilot THE ORDAINED, for which he also serves as executive producer. The actor will appear opposite previously announced cast member Charlie Cox.
Niels Arden Oplev will helm the pilot from a script penned by Taylor Elmore and Ben Cavell, based on a story the two co-wrote with Cusack and Kevin McCabe. The currently untitled project is set in the world of Wall Street power and money. Cox plays Jackson, a smart, sophisticated, Wall Street hedge fund trader, who served his country in Iraq, and possesses integrity and the desire to do good. No details yet on Cusack's role in the drama.The actor, producer, and screenwriter has appeared in films such as Say Anything..., Grosse Pointe Blank, High Fidelity, Con Air, Being John Malkovich, 1408, Must Love Dogs, 2012, Martian Child, America's Sweethearts, and The Butler.
