Jessica Lange to Return for AMERICAN HORROR STORY: APOCALYPSE

During the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, actress Sarah Paulson spoke about Jessica Lange's return, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "I have the great pleasure of saying, yes, she will be back," said Sarah Paulson.

Lange departed the series after four seasons and two Emmy awards. She'll return for the eight season, titled apocalypse, a crossover between the anthology's Murder House and Coven seasons. Lange will be reprising her original AHS role of Constance Langdon. The character was last seen taking custody of her neighbors' satanic offspring, also playing a part in the new cycle.

Paulson also announced that Lange's appearance would coincide with Paulson's first directing gig on the show - the sixth episode.

American Horror Story has been renewed for a tenth season, meaning at least two more seasons will follow Apocalypse.

Apocalypse premieres on FX Wednesday, September 12th, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
