Jennifer Beals Set for Two Episodes of ABC's CASTLE

As first reported on TVGuide.com, actress Jennifer Beals, star of 'Flashdance', is set to appear on two upcoming episodes of ABC's hit series CASTLE.  According to the report, the actress will play the role of Sophia Conrad, a "smart, commanding and sexy CIA operative."  The episodes are scheduled to air in February of 2012.

On the episodes, Beals' character will join series regulars Castle and Beckett as they attempt to locate another CIA agent who has mysteriously disappeared and is the prime suspect in a murder case. In the midst of their search, Beckett finds herself becoming jealous of Sophia when she learns that the new agent has a complicated past with Castle. 

Beals was recently seen in the role of police Superintendent Teresa Colvin on 'The Chicago Code' as well as playing Bette Porter on the Showtime drama 'The L Word'.  

New episodes of CASTLE will begin on Monday, January 9, 2012.
