Jenna Elfman to Star in NBC Comedy Pilot 1600 PENN

According to TVLine.com, Jenna Elfman has been cast in the role of the First Lady in NBC's upcoming comedy pilot 1600 PENN.  The pilot will be directed by Modern Family's Jason Winer who will serve as executive producer along with Josh Gad and Jon Lovett.

1600 PENN is set in Washington DC and follows "a dysfunctional family that just happens to reside at the most famous address in the United States." Elfman will join previously announced cast members Bill Pullman, who will portray the commander-in-chief, Brittany Snow (American Dreams), Josh Gad (Book of Mormon) and Amara Miller (The Descendents) who will play the children of the first family.

Elfman has recently been seen in the TV series 'Damages'. She will also be featured in the Season 2 finale of 'Shameless'. The actress is best known for her role in the ABC comedy series 'Dharma and Greg'.
