As first reported on Deadline.com, Jaime Pressly has joined the cast of the upcoming NBC drama pilot BAD GIRLS. The actress recently starred in Fox's 'I Hate My Teenage Daughter'. The sitcom was cancelled by the network last week due to lackluster ratings.

BAD GIRLS is adapted from a long-running series from the UK and centers on "the ins and outs of a group of unlikely women in a federal prison." Pressly will portray Melinda, a prison warden described as a "sexy, ominous woman with a sadistic streak enjoying cat-and-mouse games with her inmates who are terrified by her."

Pressly's other TV credits include her Emmy-winning role in the NBC comedy 'My Name is Earl'.
