CNN.com reports that reality star Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino has voluntarily entered rehab where he has "spent the past several weeks getting treatment" for an apparent drug problem. The 'Jersey Shore' star had originally denied rumors that he was in rehab, posting on his Twitter account  Tuesday, "Don't believe everything you read or hear."

Yesterday, the celebrity posted an updated statement on Twitter which he called, "The Situation Wants to Set The Record Straight."  In his tweet, he revealed, "I have voluntarily taken steps to get control of a prescription medication problem I had due to exhaustion," his statement said. "I have spent the past several weeks getting treatment for this problem and recuperating from my work and appearance schedule. I appreciate my fans support and love you guys."

MTV announced this week that it will renew 'Jersey Shore' for a sixth season. Season Five of the series ended this month.
