According to a breaking news tidbit and a recent picture posted on Twitter by the show's creator, Glee looks likely to be bringing the international pop icons the Spice Girls to the small screen in the coming weeks with a musical tribute performance.

GLEE co-creator Ryan Murphy posted a picture to Twitter recently, teasing gleeks around the world by quoting one of the world-renown group's hits, "Spice up your life!"

Today, TVLine confirms the British girl group will indeed get their full Glee due sometime soon.

Show standout Chord Overstreet hints that, "Sam [Overstreet] and Blaine [Darren Criss] kind of take over the Glee club for the week and make assignments for the girls and guys to do."

He reveals, "So, the girls decide to do a Spice Girls number, which is amazing. Jacob [Artist] does a really awesome dance number. I can't say who it's by, but he absolutely killed it."

No confirmation of when the Spice Girls tribute will air has been revealed.

GLEE airs Thursdays at 9 PM on FOX, now in its fourth hit season as the highest-rated scripted series on the network.
