Idris Elba, Tilda Swinton Join THREE THOUSAND YEARS OF LONGING

Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton have joined the cast of "Three Thousand Years of Longing," according to Variety.

The George Miller film will be sold by FilmNation at the American Film Market.

The film, which is in the early development stages, will be directed by Miller from his own script. Doug Mitchell will produce alongside Miller.

Elba was recently announced to star in the musical adaptation of "Cats" as Macavity. He's currently filming the "Fast & Furious" spinoff "Hobbs and Shaw" with Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. Swinton can be currently seen in Luca Guadagnino's "Suspiria."

Miller directed all four "Mad Max" movies and and is planning another, titled "Mad Max: The Wasteland."' Miller won the Academy Award for best animated feature for "Happy Feet" and has been nominated for five other Academy Awards.
