The producers of In Focus with Martin Sheen are announcing a report that will take an entertaining look at the impact of American television overseas.

In Focus Martin Sheen PBS is an independently produced television series airing in markets around the country on public television. The program is hosted by the legendary Martin Sheen, who is about to embark on his second half-century in American entertainment. Mr. Sheen has developed a reputation as one of Hollywood's most respected actors during a career that includes more than 60 film appearances.

This May, In Focus Martin Sheen will be talking to television distributors about how exporting American television shows has become big business. Around the world, audiences are seeing a glimpse of American culture through prime-time sitcoms and dramas that are being aired in other languages. In Focus will be talking to sociologists about how this cultural influence is making people from other countries more familiar with the US even though it may be half a world away.

The producers of In Focus with Martin Sheen are hoping to debut the new report in May. Viewers can find air times and dates by checking their local listings.
