The producers of in Focus with Martin Sheen have announced an upcoming report highlighting how free and reduced-cost healthcare clinics are providing important health services to underprivileged Americans.

In Focus with Martin Sheen is an independently produced television program airing in markets around the country on public television. The show is hosted by the legendary Martin Sheen, who has a long career highlighted by more than 60 film appearances and countless television roles. He is also a noted activist and philanthropist.

In Focus Martin Sheen PBS is talking to doctors, nurses, and volunteers who are helping to provide low-cost and sometimes free healthcare to Americans in poor communities around the country. Many of the people have chronic conditions that require constant monitoring or medication and these clinics are helping Americans to a healthier life. While some free clinics are in place permanently, other groups travel the country and set up temporary clinics that are drawing large numbers of people who have been shut out of their needs by rising healthcare costs or lack of insurance.
