The Wall Street Journal had reported back in November that Stern was in negotiations to appear as a judge on the hit NBC show.  Sources said that Stern would receive as much as $15 million but details as to how long his contract would run had not been disclosed. In 2010, Stern signed a contract with Sirius XM to keep his radio show on the air for another five years.

The Parents Television Council has already campaigned against the idea of Stern joining the program which is consider to be a family show. NBC has not commented on the report.
