Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Designates August 2018 'Garage Sale Mystery Month'

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries designates August as "Garage Sale Mystery" month when the network's successful "Garage Sale Mystery" franchise returns as a limited series with four all-new original movies, bringing installments 11 through 14 to the screen August 2018. The announcement was made as part of Crown Media Family Networks' TV Critics Association Winter Press Tour.

"Dubbing August 'Garage Sale Mystery' month on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries proved to be a successful program event last year and we are thrilled to make it an annual, appointment television destination for our sleuthing fans," said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Network Program Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. "This series of mystery movies continues to grow in popularity and going in to its eleventh installment proves how much viewers love these characters and stories that Lori Loughlin so eloquently brings to life."

Jennifer Shannon (Lori Loughlin) discovers not only does she have a knack for finding garage sale treasures but that these found treasures also lead to foul play. The highly rated "Garage Sale Mystery" movies star Lori Loughlin ("When Calls the Heart," "Fuller House"), Sarah Strange ("Men in Trees," "Life as We Know It,"), Steve Bacic ("When Calls the Heart"), Eva Bourne ("When Calls the Heart") and Kevin O'Grady ("You Me Her").

The four original "Garage Sale Mystery" movies that premiered every Sunday in August of 2017 helped elevate Hallmark Movies & Mysteries to the top 10 in rankings for ad-supported cable networks. The movies ranked #1 in Prime Time every Sunday night making August the most-watched month for the network outside of November and December consisting of holiday programming.
