Hailee Steinfeld To Star As Emily Dickinson In New Comedy Series Picked Up By Apple

According to Deadline, Apple has picked up the brand new comedy series DICKINSON. They ordered the show straight to series. Oscar nominated actress/singer Hailee Steinfeld is set to star in the title role as poet Emily Dickinson. THE HALF HOUR series comes from Paul Lee's wiip., David Gordon Green, Darlene Hunt, Michael Sugar and Anonymous Content. Read more about the news from Deadline here!

DICKINSON was written by Alena Smith. The series follows the poet in as she discovers and delves into the constrictions of society, gender and family, while struggling to have her voice heard. Dickinson is lauded as one of the most notable poets in America.

Republic Records recording artist Hailee Steinfeld has quickly cemented herself as a rising force in pop music with a series of hits under her belt, including her 2015 platinum certified debut single "Love Myself," double platinum selling smash "Starving" with Grey [feat.
