HOMELAND's Damian Lewis Signs on for Thriller OUR KIND OF TRAITOR

According to The Hollywood Reporter, HOMELAND's Damian Lewis has boarded the thriller OUR KIND OF TRAITOR, joining Ewan McGregor, Stellan Skarsgard and Naomie Harris in the cast. Susanna White directs.

Hossein Amini adapted OUR KIND OF TRAITOR from the novel by John le Carre.

The film follows an English couple on vacation in Antigua "that becomes entangled in the dealings of a Russian mobster desperate to defect. Soon enough, the British Secret Service is involved and the suspense kicks in."

Lewis is set to play a member of British Intelligence.

Lewis' upcoming big screen projects include The Silent Storm, and Queen of the Desert, as well as the TV miniseries To Appomattox. He is also set to star as Henry VIII in the six-part television adaptation of Hilary Mantel's Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies.

He is well known for his portrayal of 'Nicholas Brody' in the TV series Homeland. Among his recent film credits are Romeo and Juliet, The Sweeney, Will, Your Highness and more.

Lewis began his stage career with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He appeared on Broadway in 1995's Hamlet.
