HGTV DESIGN STAR Finalists to Compete on 'The Talk', 7/10

On this week's episode of HGTV's DESIGN STAR, to demonstrate their colorful design skills, each finalist must incorporate a bold color scheme that will appeal to prospective home buyers. 

For this week's on-camera challenge, host and mentor David Bromstad will join the finalists on CBS' daytime talk show, THE TALK, as they deliver color design tips alongside show hosts Julie Chen and Aisha Tyler. Reigning HGTV Design Star winner Meg Caswell will join Genevieve Gorder and Vern Yip on Tuesday, July 10, at 9 p.m. ET/PT to evaluate the spaces and select the best design.

HGTV's top-rated reality competition, HGTV Design Star, returns for a dynamic seventh season. The one-hour series features 12 competitive and creative finalists executing ingenious designs, as well as an illustrious judging panel of acclaimed HGTV interior designers (Genevieve Gorder and Vern Yip) and special celebrity guests. The finalists, who include professional interior designers, contractors, stylists and artists, must navigate innovative design challenges and dazzle the judges with creativity and ingenuity until one wins their own show on HGTV.
