HBO Employs Unique Scheduling Strategy for First Episode of BOARDWALK EMPIRE
The September launch of the new HBO drama series BOARDWALK EMPIRE will be supported by a unique scheduling strategy designed to guarantee maximum exposure for the eagerly awaited show.
After its debut on the main HBO channel on Sunday, Sept. 19 (9:00-10:15 p.m. ET/PT), which will be followed by back-to-back encore plays at 10:15 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., the first episode of BOARDWALK EMPIRE will be spotlighted on six HBO channels simultaneously the next day.
On Monday, Sept. 20, BOARDWALK EMPIRE can be seen at 9:00 p.m. on HBO, HBO2, HBO Signature, HBO Comedy, HBO Zone and HBO Latino. In addition, HBO2 will present the episode three times back-to-back that evening, at 7:45 p.m., 9:00 p.m. and 10:15 p.m.
From Terence Winter, Emmy(R) Award-winning writer of "The Sopranos" and Academy(R) Award-winning director Martin Scorsese, BOARDWALK EMPIRE is set in Atlantic City at the dawn of Prohibition, when the sale of alcohol became illegal throughout the United States.
