Global Superstar Janet Jackson Welcomes Baby Boy Elissa Al Mana

PEOPLE reports that Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana welcomed their first child yesterday, Tuesday, Jan. 3rd.

In a statement, a rep for the 50-year-old singer shared, "Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world." She added, "Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably."

Jackson and Qatari businessman Al Mana wed in 2012. In early April, rumors that Ms. Jackson was expecting began to arise after the singer postponed her Unbreakable World Tour. In a video which she posted to Twitter in the spring, she explained that she and her husband wanted to focus on their family.
