George Takei to Be Master of Ceremonies at Grand Opening of Japan House Los Angeles; YOSHIKI to Perform

YOSHIKI has created a special musical performance to celebrate the Grand Opening of Japan House Los Angeles-a new cultural center between Japan and the world--at Hollywood & Highland on Friday, August 24th.

George Takei is master of ceremonies with government dignitaries from Japan and the U.S. as well as celebrities confirmed to celebrate Japan House Los Angeles, an initiative of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs which fosters appreciation for all things Japanese, from gastronomy and design to tech innovation. The Grand Opening of the newly-completed facility will include a special cocktail reception and a seated dinner. Immediately following the launch event, Japan House Los Angeles will open to the public.

Japan House Los Angeles is a premiere venue designed to showcase Japan's art, culture, business, technology, and entertainment while strengthening cultural ties between Japan and the world. YOSHIKI serves as an advisor for Japan House along with honorary advisor Larry Ellison (Oracle). With facilities in London and São Paulo, this will be the first time Japan House will open its doors in Los Angeles.
