Silver Lining Pictures' Romantic Country Drama Runnin' From My Roots to Screen in L.A. This November

Gabrielle Evans Fields' romantic country drama Runnin' From My Roots will open to Los Angeles audiences with a special screening on November 1 at The Landmark at Westside Pavilion (10850 Pico Blvd).

Janelle Arthur, of "American Idol" fame, leads the cast of the new family-friendly film as country music star Faith Winters, alongside Aaron O'Connell ("The Haves and the Have Nots").

Following a very public fall from grace, Winters retreats to her rural hometown. But it is there that she must come to grips with the realization that she still has unresolved feelings for her high school sweetheart (played by O'Connell), now the town's pastor.

In addition to Arthur and O'Connell, the film also stars Nia Sioux ("The Bold and the Beautiful," "Dance Moms"), Dallas Lovato, country music artists Deana Carter and Neal McCoy, Patrick Muldoon ("Days of Our Lives"), Leigh-Allyn Baker ("Good Time Charlie," "Charmed," "Will & Grace") and Janine Turner ("Northern Exposure").

Runnin' From My Roots was produced by Evans Fields' Silver Lining Pictures and Sean Fernald, and directed by Nancy Criss (A Horse for Summer, Fishes and Loaves), with a story by Kenneth Lemm, adapted for film by Lemm and Jason Usry.

The film will include a soundtrack with music from Arthur and other artists, with the first single being released this fall.
