'GMA' Narrows Adults 25-54 Margin With 'Today' to Closest Finish in 3 Months

ABC News' GOOD MORNING AMERICA ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (4.457 million) for the week of October 17, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" outperformed "Today" (4.291 million) by 166,000.

"GMA" was up over the previous week in Adults 25-54 (+1% - 1.476 million vs. 1.466 million on w/o 10/10/16).

In addition, "GMA" narrowed its margin with "Today" in Adults 25-54 (-9% - 211,000 vs. 231,000) to its closest finish in the key adult news demo in nearly 3 months - since w/o 7/25/16.

Season to date, "GMA" is the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, leading "Today" by 153,000 (4.516 million vs. 4.363 million) to take the top spot at this point of the season for the 5th year in a row.

During the week, "GMA" defeated "CBS This Morning" in Total Viewers (+25%/+902,000), Adults 25-54 (+39%/+416,000) and Adults 18-49 (+38%/+287,000).
