Freestyle Skiing Highlights NBC's Winter Sports Coverage This Weekend

NBC Sports Group will present more than 25 hours of Olympic winter sports coverage this weekend across NBC, Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA, NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, OlympicChannel.com, and the Olympic Channel app, featuring highlights from the 2017 Dew Tour's men's and women's freestyle skiing competitions from Breckenridge, Colo., on NBC.

This week's coverage also features alpine skiing from Madonna di Campiglio in Italy; freestyle skiing moguls from Thaiwoo, China, ski cross from Innichen, Italy, and halfpipe from Beijing, China; and SNOWBOARDING from Cervinia, Italy.

NBC Sports' coverage of the 2017 DEW TOUR from Breckenridge kicks off this Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on NBC. The competition serves as one of the U.S. Olympic team qualifying events for SNOWBOARDING and freestyle skiing.

Competitors include 2014 Olympic freestyle skiing gold medalist David Wise, who won the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix earlier this month in COPPER Mountain, Colo., Torin Yater-Wallace, who won the first Olympic qualifier last February, 2014 Olympic freestyle skiing gold medalist Maddie Bowman, 2014 Olympic freestyle skiing silver medalist Devin Logan, and Maggie Voisin.

Todd Harris hosts coverage on NBC from Breckenridge Ski Resort. Harris will be joined by Luke Van Valin(analyst), Todd Richards (analyst), and Tina Dixon (reporter).

FIS ALPINE SKIING WORLD CUP
LIVE COVERAGE CONTINUES FRIDAY AT 2:30 P.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

Coverage of the men's alpine skiing season on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA continues this Friday at 2:30 p.m. ET from Madonna di Campiglio, Italy, with live coverage of the men's slalom under the lights. 2014 Olympian David Chodounsky is expected to lead the Americans, while six-time overall World Cup champion Marcel Hirscher of Austria, who is going for his second-straight slalom victory, is the favorite to win the event but should receive strong competition from Sochi bronze medalist Henrik Kristoffersen of Norway.

Steve Schlanger (play-by-play) and Steve Porino (analyst) will call Friday's action.

FIS FREESTYLE SKIING WORLD CUP
LIVE COVERAGE BEGINS THURSDAY AT 12:30 A.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

Coverage of the FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup season continues this Thursday and Friday with live coverage of moguls competition from Thaiwoo, China, and live coverage of ski cross events from Innichen, Italy. Both competitions will serve as qualification events for the U.S. Olympic Team.

Jaelin Kauf, who was the top American woman at the Ruka World Cup earlier this month, and 20-year-old Emerson Smith are expected to highlight the moguls competition. The ski cross competition is likely to feature Tania Prymak, who aims to become the first U.S. woman to compete in the Olympic Winter Games in ski cross, and Brant Crossan, who placed 12th at last season's World Championships.

Trace Worthington will provide commentary alongside analyst Luke Van Valin.

FIS SNOWBOARDING WORLD CUP
LIVE STREAMING COVERAGE BEGINS TONIGHT AT 11 P.M. ET

2006 Olympic silver medalist and five-time world champion Lindsey Jacobellis, who has already mathematically qualified for the PyeongChang Games, is expected to headline the American women in snowboard cross. 26-year-old Hagen Kearney and 2014 Olympic bronze medalist Alex Deibold are expected to lead the American men, along with Jonathan Cheever.

This week's events in Cervinia, Italy, will serve as qualifiers for the U.S. Olympic Team. Podium finishes are integral in earning a spot on the 2018 U.S. Olympic team.
