Franchesca Ramsey to Host Pivot's WEEKEND OF WOMEN

This Labor Day weekend Participant Media's television network, Pivot, will celebrate women all weekend long by airing empowering films and shows from female filmmakers and that feature strong female characters. Hosted by Youtube sensation Franchesca Ramsey, "Weekend of Women" will begin on Saturday, September 5th and continue through Monday, September 7th.

From critically acclaimed documentaries to award winning feature films and fan favorites series, Pivot's "Weekend of Women" includes airings of Gardeners of Eden, A Place at the Table, Million Dollar Baby, The Hurt Locker, Plastic Paradise, West of Memphis and Uranium Drive-In along with episodes of "Veronica Mars."

As part of "Weekend of Women," Pivot has teamed up with The Representation Project, an organization that inspires individuals and communities to challenge gender stereotypes and social injustices. During "Weekend of Women," viewers can text WOMEN to 77177 to take The Representation Project's pledge to speak out about media-based sexism and help change misguided perceptions of gender.
